The version you buy when the stock settings are a starting point, not the answer.

Efficiency first

At roughly 15 J/TH the Copper Pro is the most efficient four chip miner we list. That is not a firmware trick: copper pulls heat off the chips faster, cooler chips leak less current, and less leakage means fewer watts for the same work. Cooling and efficiency are the same problem seen from two sides.

Two fans, two jobs

A 92 mm fan moves the bulk of the air through the fins at low speed. A 60 mm fan handles the area around the voltage regulators, which is where four chip boards usually get hot first. Both follow the temperature rather than running at a fixed speed.

If you want to push it

AxeOS gives you core voltage and frequency per chip. Owners who work through them patiently, a few millivolts and a few megahertz at a time, get well past the stock figures. The board has the cooling for it. It does not have a warranty for it.

Overclocking is at your own risk. Damage caused by running the chips outside their specified voltage and frequency is not covered.

Everyday use

  • The 1.9-inch colour display shows all four chips, temperature, power draw and your best share.
  • One 12 V supply feeds the whole device.
  • Settings, updates and pool changes happen in a browser on your home network.

Frequently asked questions

What do I actually gain over the NerdQAxe++ Hydro?
Efficiency and control. The Copper Pro sits at about 15 J/TH against 16.7, and it gives you the thermal room to tune further. The Hydro wins on noise. If you never intend to touch the settings, the Hydro is the quieter choice.
Do I need to overclock it to get 4.8 TH/s?
No. That is the figure at the stock settings. Overclocking is what takes you above it, and it is optional.
How hot does the copper block get?
Warm to the touch under load, which is the point: heat that reaches the heatsink is heat that has left the chip. The fans keep the chips themselves in their normal operating range.
