About Nerdminer Store
Nerdminer Store is an independent shop for open-source Bitcoin mining hardware, run from Europe for miners in Europe. We started small, with a single tiny device, and we are still here for the same reason: we think Bitcoin mining belongs in homes, not only in industrial halls.
It started with a small NerdMiner
In 2023 Bitmaker released the first NerdMiner out of Spain: an ESP32 board with a small display that mines Bitcoin on about one watt. It could never compete with industrial machines, and that was never the point. It showed thousands of people how mining works, right on their desk. Nerdminer Store opened shortly afterwards, and the name still reminds us where we come from.
The open-source community did not stop there. The Bitaxe brought a real ASIC chip to the same desk, followed by the NerdAxe, the NerdQAxe++ and the multi-chip NerdOctaxe. We grew with every step, and today our range goes from the NerdMiner V4 to boards with eight chips. You can see all of them side by side in our miner comparison.
What we do
- Stock in Europe: we ship from our EU warehouse, prices include VAT and there are no customs inside the EU.
- Test before shipping: miners are checked before they leave us.
- Help after the purchase: our setup guides and support are written by people who run this hardware themselves.
- Explain honestly: a home miner is a lottery ticket for a Bitcoin block, not an income. Our solo mining guide explains what that really means.

Nerdminer Store is listed on the official Bitaxe vendor list at bitaxe.org/buy. When you buy a Bitaxe from us, you get a genuine open-source board, shipped from inside the EU.
Open source runs on people
The NerdMiner that started it all exists because one developer published his code for everyone. Nothing has changed since: behind every board and every firmware in our range there are people who share their work. We would not exist without them, so we give back. Not now and then, but with every single order.
- Every sale contributes: part of every purchase in our shop goes back into open-source development.
- Donations to developers: we donate directly to the people who build the hardware and firmware you mine with.
- Hardware for development: we send prototypes and devices to developers, so new boards and new firmware get tested on real hardware and reach you sooner.
Anyone who develops in the open, publishes their designs and answers questions honestly can count on us. So when you buy a miner here, you are also supporting the people who made it possible.
An organisation like OSMU is one we unfortunately cannot support. How the donations there are used is not something we can follow, and too many questions about it have stayed open in the past.

Why it matters
