Who is behind Avalon
Canaan has been building ASIC miners since 2013. The Avalon Nano series brings that experience into a domestic housing: twelve 4 nm chips, a fan, a USB-C power supply and an app, in a device the size of a shoebox.
Why a closed device in an open-source store
Most of our range is open hardware. We carry the Avalon Nano 3s for people who want a miner that arrives sealed and starts on the first try. You give up open firmware and tuning; you get 6 TH/s at 140 W, 33 dB in quiet mode and heat that warms the room in winter.
