Who is behind NerdAxe

The NerdAxe line was started by Bitmaker, the developer behind the NerdMiner. Where the NerdMiner computes hashes on a microcontroller, a NerdAxe puts a real mining chip on the board and keeps what made the NerdMiner popular: a large colour display and a setup anyone can do. The firmware is AxeOS, the open-source software of the Bitaxe and NerdAxe family; the NerdAxe Gaia Copper Pro runs NerdOS.

How the names work

Display, accessories and setup

The colour display shows hashrate, temperature and pool statistics; the button on the board cycles through the screens. For the NerdQAxe boards there are the open-frame NerdQAxe Performance Case and the NerdQAxe Stand, for the NerdAxe Gamma the NerdAxe Case.

Setup: the NerdAxe Setup Guide for the single-chip models, the NerdQAxe Setup Guide for the four and eight chip boards. A buying comparison by hashrate, power and noise is on the NerdAxe category page.
