Who is behind Bitaxe
Bitaxe started as an open-source project by the developer known as @skot9000. Schematics, board files and the firmware AxeOS are published, so anyone can study, build or improve a Bitaxe. AxeOS now also runs on the NerdAxe family, and many of today's home miners build on that work.
The best-known moment of the project came in July 2024, when a Bitaxe with 500 GH/s found block 853742. Our article A 500 GH/s Bitaxe Found a Bitcoin Block tells the story.

What every Bitaxe has in common
